Anti-Fraud Statement

Fraud rings frequently impersonate online retailers, claiming that an order was "set up incorrectly", "charged twice" or "mistakenly placed on instalments", in order to lead customers to an ATM or online banking. This page explains how KINTAIWU actually operates, so that you can tell the difference.

01

What KINTAIWU Will Never Do

We never do any of the following. If someone asks you to do any of these — however accurate their information about your order sounds — it is a scam:

  • Call to say your order was "set up incorrectly", "placed on instalments by mistake" or "charged twice", and ask you to go to an ATM or online banking
  • Instruct you to enter any figures at an ATM, including to "cancel a setting", "cancel instalments" or "verify your account"
  • Ask for your full card number, CVV, expiry date or an SMS verification code
  • Ask for online banking credentials, or ask you to install any remote-control app
  • Send you a payment link outside our own website by phone, SMS or private message
  • Ask you to transfer money first on the grounds of a "payment system error", to be refunded later

Our customer service will never call you and ask you to carry out any banking operation. Refunds are always returned to the original payment method or to an account you specify — you never need to do anything at an ATM.

02

Common Scam Scripts

Fraudsters may hold some genuine order details — your name, the items, the amount — which makes the call sound convincing. Watch for these lines in particular:

  • "Your order was mistakenly set to instalment payments; let us help you cancel it."
  • "A system error caused a duplicate charge; we will process your refund."
  • "Your order details are wrong and need to be re-verified before we can ship."
  • "You have been registered as a VIP or wholesale account; cancel it or you will be charged monthly."
  • Callers claiming to be from a bank or a courier, offering to resolve a problem with your KINTAIWU order.

They all share one feature: the call always ends with a request to use an ATM or online banking, or to hand over financial details. As soon as that happens, hang up.

03

What to Do If You Are Contacted

  • Hang up first. Do not carry out any operation while on the call, and do not trust the caller simply because they can quote your order details
  • Call 165, Taiwan's anti-fraud hotline, to verify. It is free and operates 24 hours
  • Contact us through a channel you found yourself — type this website's address in directly or search for our official page. Do not call back a number the caller gave you, and do not click links they send
  • If you are sent a link, check that the domain is kintaiwu.com.tw. Fraudulent addresses often use lookalike characters

04

Our Official Channels

These are all of the channels we use to contact customers. Please verify anyone else claiming to represent KINTAIWU:

WEBSITE

www.kintaiwu.com.tw

EMAIL

zl_f@kintaiwu.com.tw

SERVICE HOURS

Mon–Sun, 09:30–18:00 (GMT+8)

For anything relating to an order, please contact us by email or Facebook message and include your order number. A written exchange leaves a record, which protects both sides.

05

Our Domain and Payment Methods

KINTAIWU orders are completed only at kintaiwu.com.tw. We will never send you a payment link on another domain by phone, SMS or private message.

All payments are made at checkout on this website. We currently accept credit cards, Apple Pay, LINE Pay, JKOPay and ATM transfer. Payments are handled by providers that meet payment industry security standards, and we neither obtain nor store your full card number or security code.

Any request to "top up", "pay again" or "transfer first for a refund" therefore does not come from us.

06

If You Have Already Transferred Money

Act immediately — timing is critical:

  • Call 165 to report the fraud, and keep records of the call and the transfer
  • Contact your issuing or remitting bank, report the fraud and ask them to freeze or stop the payment
  • Report it at your local police station and obtain a case receipt
  • Let us know as well (by email or Facebook message), with the number, link or screenshots the fraudster used — it helps us warn other customers

07
